Green Tea Portobello Fritter


  • 2 cups flour

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp koshur salt

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 1 cup low-fat or non-fat milk

  • 1/4 cup melted low-fat margerine

  • fresh portobello mushrooms

  • matcha powder

Prep Time: 5 min

Cooking Time: 10 min

Sift flour, baking powder, koshur salt and sugar. Combine eggs, milk and margerine. Fold in dry ingredients; you can either add more or less flour - enough to bind batter.add portobello last. Drop by tablespoons into hot vegetable oil and deep fry about 5 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle with matcha powder and serve. Serve hot
