Nikujyaga (Beef and Vegetable Stew)

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb beef

  • 6 potatoes, diced into cubes

  • 1 white onion, chopped

  • 6 shiitake mushrooms

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce, to taste

  • 2 tablespoons mirin

  • 1 tablespoons of red wine or white wine

  • 3 tablespoons sugar

  • 2 cups chicken stock or vegetable stock

Prep Time: 10-15 min

Cooking Time: 30 min

Instructions:
Prepare meat by slicing thinly.
Prepare vegtables.
Mix Soy Sauce, mirin, sugar, wine and stock/water together, bring to boil.
Add meat, and veggies, cook for about 30 minutes on Medium high.
Serve with rice if you prefer.
