Spaghetti with Broccoli Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

  • 4 large cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 3/4 cups chicken or vegetable broth

  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil

  • 1 cup chopped fresh oregano

  • Freshly ground pepper

  • 1 tablespoon wheat starch (dissolved in 1 tablespoon water)

  • 5 cups broccoli florets, cut into edible sizes

  • 1 (16 oz) spaghetti package

  • 2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese, or to taste

Prep Time: 5-10 min

Cooking Time: 10-15 min

Instructions:
1. Heat olive oil in a medium pan.
2. Saute garlic until tender, 2 minutes
3. Stir in broth, basil, oregano, and pepper and simmer 2 minutes
4. Remove from heat and stir in wheat-starch.
5. Return to heat and bring to boil, stirring constantly until thickened.
6. Bring a large pot of water to a boil
7. Add pasta to boiling water; cook 5 minutes.
8. Add broccoli and cook for 2-3 minutes or until tender and drain.
9. Combine with sauce and Parmessan cheese and toss well.
